Job Title: Sales and Use Tax Accountant

Job Description

The Sales and Use Tax Accountant will be responsible for managing and ensuring compliance with sales and use tax regulations. This role involves preparing and filing tax returns, conducting tax research, and providing support during audits. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Prepare and file sales and use tax returns in multiple jurisdictions.

Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.

Reconcile tax accounts and ensure accurate reporting.

Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.

Maintain and update tax records and documentation.

Essential Skills

Strong knowledge of sales and use tax laws and regulations.

Experience with gross receipt taxes.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Sage Intact would be a plus.

Self-starter with strong initiative.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
