The Ultra manufacturing function is responsible for the manufacture, integration and test of a wide range of products and systems providing innovative capabilities for our customers.

Nationality Requirements

Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes, procedures, and layouts to achieve production goals.

Identify and implement cost-effective process improvements, including automation, tooling upgrades, and workflow optimizations.

Conduct time and motion studies, process flow analysis, and capacity planning to maximize efficiency and throughput.

Learn and apply Manufacturing methods, manage tooling and equipment needs with Lean Manufacturing mindset.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, quality engineers, and production managers, to ensure seamless integration of processes.

Provide technical support and guidance to production teams to resolve manufacturing issues and achieve production targets.

Investigate and troubleshoot process failures, quality problems, and equipment malfunctions, and implement corrective actions.

Develop and maintain production documentation, including work instructions, process specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Required Skills:

Pursuing a college degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or a related field.

Ability to learn and understand technical data and specifications

Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to execute impromptu speeches/presentations in a captivating way.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills a must.

High proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and an aptitude for learning new software packages.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Eagerness to learn and a positive attitude towards problem-solving.

This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

Desired Skills:

Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) is a plus.

Experience with 3D printing.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry 50lbs for short periods of time.

Expected Compensation: The expected compensation for this role is $20.00 hourly. Please note, this is the expected compensation however, Ultra Maritime considers many factors in determining compensation prior to office, such as: responsibilities and scope of role, candidate's work experience and education related to position, applicable certifications or trainings, business and market conditions.
