Job Title: Medical Device Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Device Technician to join our growing team. You will be responsible for receiving, troubleshooting, repairing, and reassembling medical devices. This role involves identifying cosmetic damage, replacing parts, and ensuring the devices are in perfect working condition before they are shipped out. The position requires repetitive work and a keen eye for detail, as you will be performing the same tasks consistently as you grow your capabilities.

Responsibilities

Receive incoming medical device units and inspect for cosmetic damage.

Disassemble, repair, replace parts, and reassemble units.

Add usable parts to inventory.

Ensure each unit is repaired within a 30-minute timeframe, aiming for 16 units per day.

Conduct quality checks and test each device before shipment.

Print labels, box, and stage devices for outbound pickup.

Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance, including replacing outer casing, air ducts, blowers, and heating elements.

Support the facility manager by interpreting customer issues in the tracking system.

Potentially interact with customers in the future, requiring a professional demeanor.

Essential Skills

Proven mechanical aptitude from previous jobs or significant mechanical skills from outside work.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and general computer usage.

Ability to perform high-volume, repetitive tasks without getting bored.

Willingness to grow and learn with the company as it expands its capabilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Customer-facing abilities and potential to learn troubleshooting of medical devices as the facility grows.

Work Environment

Work in a temperature-controlled facility located within the Life Science Logistics warehouse in Clayton. The space is large, but our team is small, consisting of three employees. The job involves sitting for extended periods with no PPE required. The shift is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
