Job Title: Welder

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Welder Assembler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for welding and cutting truck frames to proper size using torch cutters, MIG welding, and some flux core welding. You will also be working on bumpers and other sub-assembly pieces for service trucks in a brand new, well-lit, and clean facility. This position involves using power and hand tools, and working with different sized overhead cranes for lifting tasks. Welding and cutting make up about 25% of the job, while the rest of the time will be spent assembling and wiring trucks. You will also be involved in kitting and preparing products for assembly.

Responsibilities

Weld and cut truck frames to proper size using torch cutters, MIG welding, and flux core welding.

Work on bumpers and other sub-assembly pieces for service trucks.

Use power and hand tools to complete tasks.

Operate different sized overhead cranes for lifting tasks.

Assemble and wire trucks.

Shadow experienced workers to learn the process.

Kit and prepare products for assembly.

Essential Skills

Mechanical assembly experience

Experience with rivet guns, power tools, and hand tools

Welding experience (MIG, TIG, aluminum welding)

Blueprint reading and work instruction comprehension

Ability to weld out of position

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Assembly experience in agriculture or manufacturing

Fabrication skills

Experience with mechanical tasks

Agriculture or farm experience

Work Environment

This is a manufacturing facility where we assemble different components for sub-work for various companies, including bus companies, box truck companies, and agricultural equipment manufacturers. The warehouse occupies about half of the building, and all items are stored on shelves in boxes. The shift is Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 4:30 pm, with some flexibility (some work 8:00 am - 5:00 pm). There may be occasional overtime, requiring work until 4:30 or 5:00 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Fargo, North Dakota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
