Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

Assemblers are responsible for assembling electronic components and products. This role requires excellent manual dexterity to work with small, detailed objects. Individuals must be able to read work orders, follow instructions, and receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed. Experience in manufacturing and soldering is a plus.

Responsibilities

Receive production orders, review assembly samples, and job specifications to determine assembly procedures.

Review component lists and obtain parts, sub-assemblies, and mechanical components from the warehouse preceding assembly instructions.

Perform mechanical assembly of small parts or sub-assemblies according to work instructions.

Visually inspect parts or sub-assemblies to ensure proper assembly.

Install printed circuit board assemblies and wire harnesses into housing.

Position and fasten parts or wires using hand tools, power hand tools, and solder connections following assembly methods.

Advise floor lead of any problems in fitting or assembling parts or sub-assemblies.

Determine ways to constantly improve productivity, quality, and safety.

Solve minor problems and recognize bigger problems that require supervisor assistance.

Communicate and listen effectively in a professional and courteous manner.

Pay attention to detail and organizational skills, working neatly.

Complete simple math (addition, subtraction, counting).

Essential Skills

Manual dexterity to work with small, detailed objects.

Ability to read work orders and follow instructions.

Experience in manufacturing and soldering.

Ability to use hand tools, power hand tools, and solder connections.

Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to complete simple math.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with electronic assembly, blueprint reading, brazing, and electrical assembly.

Ability to use a tape measure.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fargo, North Dakota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
