Immediate hiring: Production Technician

Job Description

The Production Technician will be responsible for using hand tools to assemble small parts for robotic dogs. The role requires experience with cable harnesses, proficiency in reading drawings, and soldering experience. Strong attention to detail and basic computer skills are essential for this position. Candidate who has as experience with electrical assembly.

Responsibilities

Assemble small parts from schematic/technical drawings and work instructions.

Use small screwdrivers to screw in small bolts to parts for robotic dogs.

Utilize tools and equipment such as wire strippers, crimpers, solder stations, heat gun, various hand tools, VOM, cable tester, and tape measure.

Verify measurements to validate part compliance using measurement devices like calipers, tape measure, pin gauges, and go/no-go gauges.

Read electrical and mechanical drawings and verify part dimensions against drawing requirements.

Perform general computer data entry.

Work within a production team environment.

Essential Skills

Experience with cable harness assembly.

Proficiency in reading drawings.

Soldering experience (minimum of 6 months).

Strong attention to detail, documented through references.

Basic computer skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

General knowledge of common mechanical techniques, such as geometric dimensioning and tolerance practices.

Ability to use tools, equipment, or software like VOM, cable tester, and pull tester.

Work Environment

The work environment is located in an old ice skating rink building, housing a small business with about 20 people. The facility is climate controlled and clean, with a casual dress code where jeans are acceptable. Those performing soldering tasks must wear ESD smocks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Johnstown, Pennsylvania

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00/hr.
