Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team as Hospital Housekeepers. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and general upkeep of hospital facilities, supporting hospital staff, and ensuring a pleasant environment for patients. The ideal candidates will be comfortable working in a hospital setting and interacting with patients in various stages of life.

Responsibilities

Clean rooms and stations in the hospital.

Maintain general upkeep of hospital facilities.

Support hospital staff as needed.

Handle soiled laundry and bodily fluids.

Follow scripted conversations to interact with patients.

Provide excellent customer service and ensure pleasant interactions with patients.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to work on feet for 8 hours a day.

Ability to lift upwards of 50 lbs. regularly.

Proven track record of attendance and reliability.

Fluent in English speaking and comprehension.

Previous experience as a janitor, custodian, or housekeeper in a hospital, hotel, or related industry is preferred.

Great personality suited for patient-facing situations.

Work Environment

Candidates will work in various departments and sectors of the hospital, including areas with soiled laundry and bodily fluids. Shifts are available on weekends, with no set Monday to Friday schedule. Available shifts include: 1st Shift (7:00 am - 3:30 pm), 2nd Shift (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Puyallup, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
