Description
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team north of Spokane. In this role, you will handle a variety of financial tasks, with a focus on accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing transactions and maintaining financial records.
Responsibilities
Process accounts payable invoices, including checks, credit card transactions, and ACH payments, for multiple business entities.
Collaborate with operations and purchasing teams to resolve invoice discrepancies and secure necessary approvals.
Manage supplier account setups, including collecting W-9 forms, reviewing credit line applications, and addressing credit holds.
Reconcile employee credit card expenses and match receipts to invoices to ensure accuracy.
Analyze intercompany expenses for proper attribution and reporting.
Handle customer payments without remittance information and apply them accurately to accounts.
Conduct forensic investigations into vendor account discrepancies and verify invoice matching with purchase orders.
Maintain positive pay files and analyze flagged transactions for potential fraud.
Assist with quarterly petty cash reconciliation and compile financial data for management reporting.
Periodically review and clean ERP system records for consistency and accuracy.
Requirements - Proficiency in accounting software systems, including ADP, Ceridian, and Concur.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems and their integration into financial operations.
Strong understanding of core accounting functions, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
Expertise in auditing processes to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial records.
Demonstrated ability to manage billing functions efficiently and accurately.
Thorough knowledge of financial reporting and regulatory compliance standards.
Strong analytical skills for reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies.
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
