A Day in the Life
We are currently looking for a Supply Chain Manager to provide leadership for our Twin Cities Campus manufacturing sites. This position primarily on-site but also has flexibility to be remote on an as-needed basis. In this role, you will be responsible for all planning, delivery, and day-to-day execution to meet service, cost, and inventory objectives across a range of manufacturing value streams. A Day in the Life
In this exciting role you will lead a team responsible for operations and materials scheduling across four manufacturing sites and business units. You will support each site, providing supply chain leadership and developing a team that delivers on planning, scheduling, materials availability, and inventory. This leader will also collaborate with the cross-functional teams at each site to ensure on time and cost effective delivery of our products.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Performs supply chain and logistics functions such as material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution.
Creates integrated processes among internal functions (e.g., operations, purchasing and logistics) and outside suppliers.
Plans and analyzes activities related to the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials.
Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions.
Provide leadership to a team of Supply Chain Planners, Production Planners, Materials Schedulers, and Buyer/Planners to achieve a balanced scorecard of metrics
Provide professional development team members to ensure they have meaningful careers at Medtronic
Set clear direction and management that aligns with defined practices and policies and enhances the organization's product availability and delivery objectives
Direct day-to-day activities for multiple work stream teams by managing project plans, resourcing, status reporting, and identifying risks
Accountability for deliverables across multiple functional organizations for supply chain service, inventory and other operational metrics
Establish meaningful metrics for your team such as schedule adherence and lead regular cross-functional performance reviews to resolve issue and improve outcomes
Develop successful cross functionally partnerships with manufacturing, marketing, R&D, supply planning, finance, engineering, and customer service
Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, or DMAIC methodology and utilize lean principles and problem-solving methodology to drive continuous improvement in processes and service or inventory outcomes
Identify and participate in the resolution of issues by employing strong analytical and planning skills.
Minimum requirements
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 5 years of relevant operations and supply chain experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Nice to Have
Degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain
MS or MBA preferred
Medical Device or Medical Supplies Manufacturing experience preferred
Regulated industry experience is also beneficial
Excellent statistical and mathematics skills
APICs CPIM/CSCP
Software skills including MS Office
Working knowledge with MRP/ERP systems (preference for SAP)
Demonstrated project management skills
Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt (or comparable training) and experience implementing/utilizing Lean/Six Sigma techniques
Knowledge of manufacturing, distribution planning, logistics, warehousing, or transportation.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$96,800.00 - $145,200.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
