Our work depends on a Cloud Systems Administrator joining our MSP (Managed Service Provider) team in support of server and user operations for nearly 30 programs and two hundred virtual systems (Windows and Linux.) These operations include but are not limited to: Compliance Management, Vulnerability Management, Patch Management, User Management, and routine Operation and Maintenance activities.
HOW A CLOUD SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Applies security patches and compliance fixes to IT systems
Hardens Operating Systems to the required standard (CIS, DoD)
Performs application installs and upgrades
Decommissions cloud resources (storage volumes, load balancers, databases, servers, etc)
Reviews vulnerability scans before patching and validates successful patch activities
Reviews compliance scans and identifies deviations from security policy
Follows defined standard operating procedures while providing technical support in the management of IT systems and configurations
Troubleshoots virtual systems, software issues, network connectivity
Provisions and maintains user accounts
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
Performs all work in accordance with a Change Management system
Monitors multiple ticket queues and responds to requests received via email or direct escalation
Coordinates with other IT teams and customers
Maintains a dashboard or similar tool to track work
Responds to afterhours on-call events
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in a similar field or equivalent combination of technical training, certifications (listed below)
1+ years of system administration and cloud technologies/platforms experience
Proficiency with implementing DOD STIGs and CIS (Center for Internet Security) standards via manual and automated means
One or more cloud provider certifications: Azure Fundamentals, Google Cloud Digital Leader, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner [foundation level or higher]
Experience maintaining server operating systems (Linux, Windows, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux)
Experience with Active Directory , and related concepts (User account management, LDAP, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Certificate services, etc)
Working knowledge of network technologies
Understanding of security principles and best practices
Excellent communication, customer service skills and time management skills
Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment and balance competing priorities with guidance from leadership and senior staff
Must be flexible with schedule and able to work after-hours and weekends to meet customer maintenance windows within a 24 x 7 environment

Additional cloud provider certifications (example: AWS SysOps Administrator - Associate, AWS Solutions Architect - Associate, or equivalent cloud provider)
Additional OS vendor certifications (AWS, Azure, Google, CompTIA, Microsoft, Red Hat)
Scripting experience (bash, Powershell)
Familiarity with AWS Systems Manager (Patch Manager)
TLS protocol and certificate management
SSO and MFA knowledge and implementation experience
Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance
Louisiana residency

The likely salary range for this position is $56,680 - $74,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
