The Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) Office of the General Counsel is seeking a dynamic individual to assist the Office's Audit Response and Fraud Enforcement Unit. The Audit Response and Fraud Enforcement Coordinator will report to the Director of Audit Response and Fraud Enforcement.Primary responsibilities include the coordination and tracking of external audits of the MassHealth program that are conducted by various federal and state oversight entities including the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services (CMS), the federal Office of the Inspector General (Fed-OIG), the Office of the State Auditor (OSA), the State Office of the Inspector General (State-OIG), and the Office of State Comptroller (OSC). The position will also support MassHealth program integrity initiatives conducted through the Audit Response and Fraud Enforcement Unit. This may include assisting with monitoring agency implementation of corrective action plans, implementation and development of policies and procedures and other activities. In addition, the position will assist with coordinating and tracking requests from various law enforcement agencies-including the Medicaid Fraud Division of the Attorney General's Office and the Office of the Inspector General's Bureau of Investigations regarding investigations of MassHealth provider and member fraud, including the referral, monitoring and tracking of cases and provider recoveries.For the assigned tasks, the Audit Response and Fraud Enforcement Coordinator will perform project management functions, including but not limited to, the collection and review of internal documentation, and coordination of internal and external communications.// Smart, dedicated, self-motivated individuals skilled in effective communication, coordination, organization, and collaboration, and preferably having prior exposure to project management, general audit functions, and government are encouraged to apply. /Please note: while this position works with lawyers, the role itself is not a lawyer./ Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all-inclusive): · Maintain databases and spreadsheets to provide current and accurate tracking of referrals to law enforcement agencies and the tracking and monitoring of settlement recoveries. · Develop and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders and partners, both internal and external, to support and ensure effective and timely communication on fraud enforcement and audit response activities. · Direct and facilitate certain inquiries made by external entities appropriately. · Coordinate responses to questions from law enforcement and audit agencies among the different MassHealth program teams · Assist with the coordination and implementation of Corrective Action Plans in response to an auditor's findings. · Draft analytical memos, presentations and other documents as needed. · Participate in agency and interagency workgroups, organize meetings, take notes and handle follow up tasks as needed. · Coordinate and schedule meetings. · Perform special projects and other related duties as requested. Required Qualifications: · Ability to write clearly and concisely, and to communicate effectively. · Ability to work independently and collaboratively, including establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. · Excellent organizational skills, including ability to manage time, set priorities and work under time constraints. · Experience presenting information in Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel. · Ability to prepare general reports, use charts, graphs and tables.
