Responsibilities
Identify, analyze, target, and generate a consistent referral stream from qualified financial referral sources.
Provide relationship management to new and existing financial firms.
Present information and demonstrations to financial firms about the advantages of college savings and my529.
Develop, track and maintain information and contacts using CRM .
Manage and utilize internal resources to provide customer support as needed.
Train my529 Operations team regarding limited power of attorney ( LPOA ) platform logistics and customer service matters.
Represent my529 at conferences and meetings.
Stay proactively engaged with clients to ensure service is functioning as intended and adding value.
Must have reliable transportation to work and the ability to travel up to 15% of the time. (Travel and responsibilities may fall on weekends or after 5 p.m.)
All other tasks assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience or a Master's (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience.
Assumes work equivalency (1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience).
Skills:
2-5 years of experience in account management, business development or other customer-facing relationship where customer satisfaction.
Proven ability to prospect, nurture, and develop new business/account opportunities.
Working knowledge or experience working with customer relationship management ( CRM ) software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to collaborate across teams, identify opportunities for process improvements and ability to resolve issues.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Professional attitude and appearance.
Strong planning and organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects varying in scope and complexity, with a high level of urgency.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferences
Bachelor's degree with preference for financial planning, business or accounting, or the equivalent work experience in a related field.
