Electrical Maintenance Technician - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Barberton, OH

Electrician Maintenance Technician (EMT) will be assigned to the Maintenance Department and report directly to the Maintenance Planning Supervisor.

Works as a member of a team of electronics repair, electrical maintenance technicians, mechanical maintenance techncians, and electrical engineers.

Applies electrical theory and related knowledge to assist the Plant Engineering and Facility Engineering departments.

Performs troubleshooting, testing, calibration, and modifying of various CNC equipment/machine power, instrumentation, and control systems.

Assists electrical engineers with plant-wide electrical infrastructure upgrades and maintenance.

Asseses needs for motor-control devices, switch panels, transformers, windings, solenoids, switches, and other electrical equipment and components according to provided engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles.

Performs machine positional accuracy testing using laser measurement equipment. Troubleshoots and corrects machine deficiencies to meet calibration requirements.

Possesses knowledge and demonstrates competency applicable to National Electric Codes and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes and recommendations.

Technical or Associates Degree preferred. 8 years minimum experience required. Siemens machine controls expeirence is a plus.

This is a weekend shift position.
