Job Description: Principal Electrical Engineer - Aerospace Avionics Test Engineering

Seeking a motivated Principal Electrical Engineer to join multidisciplinary teams in developing complex engineering solutions. This global engineering organization is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of manufacturing test solutions supporting the internal and external customers, including armed services and airlines, both domestic and international.

You will be tasked with developing product tests for a variety of Aerospace products, involving both hardware and software tasks. This position is ideal for individuals who possess knowledge in both hardware and software engineering.

Primary Responsibilities:

Support manufacturing and service test solutions for Aerospace products.

Develop strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Utilize hardware and software development and debug skills on multi-rack test stations used to test Aerospace products.

Support thermal and vibration test equipment and software suites for environmental stress and screening requirements of Aerospace products.

Test Equipment Utilized:

Digital multi-meters

Oscilloscopes

Network analyzers

Spectrum analyzers

Logic analyzers

Power supplies

Electronic loads

Role Requirements:

Versatility across a variety of tasks in a highly collaborative environment

Work closely with engineers and leaders at various locations around the globe to ensure project success

Use independent judgment to make decisions in day-to-day job responsibilities under general supervision

Report to an Engineering Manager in the Avionics Test Engineering organization

Job Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot hardware and software solutions

Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical and systems engineering) to ensure the electrical design is appropriate for the project/product design approach

Reverse engineer existing equipment and document built systems

Support automated test software development

Review and verify automated test procedures to drive software changes required to support operations

Present project/technical status to peers, internal management, and customers

Demonstrate excellent time management skills, multitask, and delegate work to support technicians, engineering project assistants, and peers

Demonstrate knowledge of hardware processes, tools, methods, workflow, and best practices

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Good communication, documentation, and collaboration/teamwork skills

Domain knowledge of avionics products

Experience Level:

Expert Level

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $57.00 - $67.00/hr.
