Job Responsibilities

Provide customer service in the areas of attendance, payroll, benefits, policies/procedures, position openings, completion of HR forms either in person or by phone

Will cross-train and provide back-up services to other Human Resource Assistants in the department

Perform other administrative duties as requested

Maintain personnel records; maintain confidentiality of all employee records and information.

Utilize the HR system to input data, access information, respond to questions and generate reports.

Hours will be 1:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

*** Excellent organizational and time management skills

*** Typing Skills

*** Strong attention to details

*** Proficient in computer skills or able to learn

*** Ability to work independently and in a team environment

*** Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (ability to work with confidential materials)

*** Good work history/behavior/performance record

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual Skills

*** Two years' experience in Human Resource related work IBM AS/400 and HRIS 2000 skills, based on experience or training

*** Vocational Administrative Assistant/Clerical Degree or equivalent one-year related experience

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $17.25-$24.25 per year/hour, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.

Other components of Hormel Foods' total compensation package includes comprehensive medical, dental and vision coverage, discretionary annual merit increases, bonuses, 401 (k) with employer match, stock purchase plan, relocation assistance, paid vacation, FREE two-year community/technical college tuition for children of employees, and more.
