As a part of the U.S. Personal & Business Banking marketing team, you will be accountable for serving in a consultative role, representing a variety of segments to ensure we're keeping these key audiences top of mind across our marketing efforts. You'll use your influence to help ensure current marketing strategies and approaches are effectively aligned to our target segments. You'll partner closely with our segment and product partners, our brand and product marketing colleagues, and with our vendors and agencies, to ensure our campaigns are executed and targeted in thoughtful ways that take our segment strategy into consideration, and help to generate return on marketing investment through measurable and data-driven wins for our business line to grow our deposits and revenue.
This role will report to the Senior Manager, Segments Team Lead, on our P&BB Deposit & Segment Marketing team and collaborate closely with our checking, savings and lifecycle colleagues to execute acquisition, cross-sell and retention campaigns. Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is essential to assist with the development of creative that moves seamlessly between languages, just like our audiences.
You will support the team lead in forecasting marketing KPIs including segment customer, account unit, balance and revenue forecasts and in measuring goal achievement. You will dig deep into our data to help us refine and adjust our strategies to optimize growth and retain our customers, and build regular reporting updates to inform leadership and measure your impact and success. - - - You'll need to build strong cross-functional relationships across both business lines and functional support teams, and act as a liaison for marketing in a fast-paced and highly matrixed organization to ensure we're producing impactful, engaging and high-quality marketing support that drives deposit growth and retention across the U.S. market.
Responsibilities:
Within the first 30 days, you'll:
Cultivate and build relationships with your segment and functional group partners including: Deposits marketing, digital marketing, Analytics, field leaders, Legal, Risk and compliance, and other groups as needed, to successfully and sustainably grow key U.S. customer segments.
Become a trusted consultative partner to assigned segment/product partners to help develop customer-centered, insights-driven ideas for how to integrate segments into our larger marketing strategies.
Understand the current segment, product and marketing goals, plans and budgets and work to find optimized ways to make sustainable progress with each segment, both in the short- / long-term.
Partner with Segment and Product partners to identify key metrics and optimal reporting structure to clearly identify our business opportunity within each segment, define our goals, and report our success in quantifiable, data-driven ways that ensure our efforts are driving customers, units, balances and revenue growth.
Track and analyze performance data to measure effectiveness and find opportunities for improvement both for marketing and business alignment.
Develop and maintain relationships with internal/external partners including creative and media agencies and other suppliers to help guide the creative execution for our targeted audiences.
Handle project management reporting, and weekly intake and status calls and reports, as needed.
Within the first 60 days, you'll also:
Design and produce regular and ad-hoc reporting and dashboards for partners and leadership.
Monitor progress against plans, milestones and baselines and recommend adjustments to our current approach, either in the short-, long-term, or both.
Help to manage budget for all assigned segments, including monthly and quarterly reporting to track not only spend and accounting, but also ROI.
Identify emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making (including competitive research on how other financial services and comparable regulated industries are approaching our segments from a product, messaging and tactical standpoint).
By the end of your first 90 days, you'll also:
Partner with the Segment, Product, Acquisition, Retention, Consumer Strategy and other business partners, to ensure our targeted segments are represented in our product marketing efforts and plans, aligned to budget.
Manage full executional process for creative, sales collateral, customer journeys and field communication.
Collaborate with product and segment team lead to provide input into the planning and implementation of annual marketing planning and development of segment marketing budgets.
Partner closely with segment, product and other partners to ensure our offerings and products align to our segments, where it makes sense.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Advertising and/or creative agency experience is an asset.
Financial services marketing and advertising, preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills; team player and the ability to consider different points of view to build partnerships to get things done.
Collaborative working style to influence meaningful action and change within a large, matrixed organization.
Results-driven: Adept at gathering and analyzing data to gain insight into what works, and develop recommendations to optimize marketing effectiveness.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
