Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer SpecialistJob Description

The Manufacturing Engineer Specialist will provide engineering support to all manufacturing processes and equipment. This support includes part and machine design, maintenance, tooling, and troubleshooting of equipment and processes. The role also involves coordinating the delivery, installation, and ramp-up of new equipment when required, while supporting improvements, optimizing processes, and applying lean manufacturing concepts.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering support to manufacturing processes and equipment.

Design parts and machines, perform maintenance, and create tooling.

Troubleshoot equipment and process issues.

Coordinate the delivery, installation, and ramp-up of new equipment.

Support process improvements and optimize manufacturing processes.

Apply lean manufacturing concepts to enhance efficiency.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

1+ year of engineering experience in manufacturing or quality.

Proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks (3D is highly valued).

Experience in machining, PLC logic, and automation (at least 1-2 of these skills required).

Understanding of PFMEA, statistical probability, and root cause analysis.

Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in an engineering role.

Familiarity with robotics.

Experience working in high-volume manufacturing environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of automatic transmission function.

Specific experience within an automatic transmission manufacturer.

Experience achieving measurable and sustainable results in a lean manufacturing environment.

Experience solving complex issues using continuous process improvement tools and facilitating Kaizen events.

Work Environment

The position is based in a large and new manufacturing facility. The dress code requires long sleeve shirts and pants; jeans are not allowed. The working hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with the expectation to come in early or stay late when necessary. The facility includes a state-of-the-art gym, locker rooms, showers, a full cafeteria with a chef offering daily meal changes, and robotics on the floor. The environment is air-conditioned. Employees receive 80 hours of paid time off from day one, and there are numerous recognition programs for employees and their families. Benefits include company-provided uniforms after 90 days and a 401K plan with a 5% match after 6 months.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $83000.00/yr.

Air conditioning, straight OT, 80 hours PTO loaded day one up front unless maintenance then they get 120. Ton's of recognition for you and family. For example, on 7/8 we are paying for everyone to go and take their family to sea world and then even paid for another set of tickets to go again on their time. Provided company soccer @type chairs. 90 Days we provide uniforms. Everyone must wear long sleeve shirts and pants. No jeans.

401K at 6 months 5% match.
