Description We are in the manufacturing industry and are currently on the lookout for a skilled Accountant to join our team in Napoleon, Ohio. As an Accountant, you will be key in managing both accounts payable and receivable, facilitating general accounting tasks, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

Manage the processing of invoices and payment requests as part of the accounts payable duties

Maintain and update vendor files regularly

Handle communication with vendors regarding payment status and discrepancies

Manage the generation and distribution of invoices to customers as part of accounts receivable duties

Handle the collections of past due accounts and communicate with customers regarding payment discrepancies

Oversee the processing of credit applications for new customers and maintain customer pricing in the ERP system

Conduct month end journal entries and account reconciliations as part of general accounting duties

Assist in the month end closing process

Manage fixed assets and calculate depreciation

Prepare various financial reports for management review

Maintain the standard cost system and conduct physical inventories

Assist with external audits and handle filing of use tax returns Requirements - Candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in the accounting field, preferably within the manufacturing industry

Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required

Must be adept at handling General Ledger

Experience in making Journal Entries is necessary

Must be capable of managing Month End Close

Familiarity with Plex is desirable

Experience with Plex Manufacturing ERP is a significant advantage
