Kentro is hiring for a short-term assignment as an HR operations manager. This position will be responsible for administering Kentro's benefit programs, leaves of absence and managing the daily operations of People Services. The ideal candidate will be well organized, have a high level of attention to detail, lots of energy, a drive for continuous improvement and enjoy rolling up their sleeves in a tight-knit and fast-paced environment. The assignment timeframe is anticipated to begin mid April '25 and conclude around the end of August '25.
Responsibilities:
Administration and oversight of employee benefits plans to include, medical, dental, life, AD&D, LTD, retirement plans, 401(k), FSA, EAP, and paid leave plans.
Reconciling annual and monthly insurance bills of employee benefits for timely payment.
Reconcile payroll deductions against UKG's benefit admin.
Administration of Corporate insurance programs to include the submission and investigation of claims, the review of risk management and future assessment of risk mitigation.
Ensuring compliance with all related laws and regulations to include: ERISA, FMLA, COBRA, ADA and other federal and state legislation.
Coordinating the administration and providing communication to employees about the company's 401(k) plan.
Responding to employee inquiries on compensation and benefits programs, which may involve conducting research, analyzing alternatives, and communicating resolutions.
Serve as an expert on HR processes, policies, and practices, and lead SOP task team to success
Analyze HR data for efficiency and data-driven decisions.
Partner with HR Business Partners and HR Tech to improve HR processes and automation.
Ensure HR processes are aligned with FAR and requisite employment laws.
Maintain and develop HR policies, employee handbooks, and compliance with applicable federal and state laws.
Oversee I-9, and E-Verify compliance.
Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
Lead HR Operations team
Partner with HR VP on special projects as needed
Other duties as assigned
Location: This position is fully remote but required to reside in the United States and work EST hours.
Requirements
4-year degree in HR or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
8-10 years in HR operations or HR related role, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Must have thorough understanding of compliance for laws and regulations regarding employment practices and general/leading HR practices.
Strong knowledge of benefits, compliance, and overall HR operations.
Experience with a tiered Shared Services model, including employee and manager self-service, shared services ticketing systems with SLAs.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
Detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and process efficiency.
Experience with UKG and other HR tools.
Strong knowledge of ADA
Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks simultaneously and under pressure
Demonstrated ability to treat confidential matters with appropriate discretion
Proven ability to solve difficult problems and overcome conflict situations with effective solutions
Ability to effectively collaborate with human resource partners, management, legal and employees while providing excellent customer service to all internal and external stakeholders
Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
Government Contracting experience preferred, with working knowledge of FAR.
