Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description

Under the supervision of the provider, the Medical Assistant will be responsible for rooming patients, triage, taking vitals, and utilizing the EPIC EMR system. Some front desk work may be required based on the coverage needs of the office.

Responsibilities

Room patients and prepare them for examination.

Perform triage duties and take patient vitals.

Utilize the EPIC EMR system for patient records.

Assist with front desk duties as needed, including customer service and insurance verification.

Ensure accurate and timely patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Skills

Medical assisting certification

Experience with EPIC EMR system

Experience in a cardiology office

Manual blood pressure measurement

Strong attention to detail

Customer service skills

BLS certification

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with patient care

Insurance verification skills

Work Environment

The position is in a very fast-paced cardiology office with 7 providers seeing up to 180 patients per day. There is a 1:1 Medical Assistant to provider ratio. The standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm. The office has a great culture, with friendly and supportive providers who frequently host employee lunches. Additionally, there is a tiered medical assistant program that allows for career advancement.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
