Job Title: Warehouse Associate

Shift/Pay: Monday - Friday (Train on 1st shift)

1st: 7a - 3:30p ($18.50)

2nd: 3p -11:30p ($19.50)

30min Lunch

2 x 15min Breaks

Job Description:

Warehouse Associates (also called Environmental Technicians) are the backbone of our company. You'll be joining a team of dedicated professionals with the opportunity to learn about environmental regulations and how we remove hazardous materials from the waste stream. Once trained in this role, you will consolidate, treat, store, transport, and/or dispose of expired household products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Unload nonhazardous waste from incoming vehicles/trucks.

Load sorted material from bins/pallets/boxes into vehicles/trucks.

Sort nonhazardous material to designated sections.

Break down the boxes the materials get delivered in.

Practice/Maintain housekeeping issues, e.g., spills cleaned up, the floor is dry, and debris not on the floor, etc., are addressed immediately.

Make sure boxes are sealed properly and pallets of boxes are secure using shrink wrap before transporting them out of the facility.

Assists in other areas of the plant operation as directed. All technicians will be cross-trained in all departments.

Qualifications:

Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50 pounds throughout the workday

Ability to stand and walk over uneven surfaces for extended periods

Visual acuity to read labels and documentation; depth perception to safely drive forklifts

Ability to hear vehicle warning chimes and alarms

Willingness and ability to wear company-issued personal protection equipment including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment

Basic computer skills to complete web-based training

Ability to understand and respond to written and verbal English

Ability to attend work predictably and regularly during scheduled hours. Must be willing and able to occasionally work nights, weekends, and variable schedule(s) as necessary

This contract-to-hire role is on the southwest side of Indianapolis, near the airport,

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.50/hr.
