Description We are in search of a Sales Assistant to join our team located in Gustine, California. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling shipments, both domestic and export, in line with customer demands and production timelines. This role is within the industry and offers a long term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Take charge of scheduling shipments promptly to meet customer expectations and deadlines.
Work in coordination with the shipping department to allocate resources, prioritize shipments, and manage inbound and outbound trucks.
Input data into the internal software system, ensuring consistency and accuracy across shipment records and tracking numbers.
Keep internal teams and external stakeholders updated regarding shipment statuses and any logistic issues that may arise.
Collaborate with sales to submit accurate purchase orders and ensure all customer orders are processed without delays.
Handle any necessary product adjustments.
Verify the accuracy of custom labels, stickers, and packaging instructions.
Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries.
Foster and maintain positive relationships with customers.
Monitor order and shipment tracking. Requirements
Position: Sales Assistant
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role is required
Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services is expected
Familiarity with Concur software is a must
Experience with CRM systems is necessary
Knowledge of Crystal Reports is required
Ability to process data accurately and efficiently
Experience with the 'About Time' time management system is beneficial
Capability to handle and respond to inbound calls effectively
Understanding of buying processes is crucial
Experience in managing cash activity is necessary
Proficiency in cash handling is required
Familiarity with the Famous software is a bonus.
