Description

Our client, an international professional services firm located in North Wayne County, is seeking an Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded accounting professional who enjoys working across multiple functions in a collaborative, small company environment.

In this role, you will report directly to the Controller and be responsible for:

Preparing and posting journal entries for the month-end close

Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements for a division

Performing general ledger and balance sheet account reconciliations

Supporting full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

Assisting with customer billing and cash applications

Participating in budget reforecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting

Attending monthly management meetings to contribute financial insights

Serving as backup for payroll processing

Assisting with other accounting-related and general office responsibilities as needed

Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)

2+ years of professional accounting experience, including general ledger and reconciliations

Experience with journal entries, month-end close, and financial statement preparation

Familiarity with both accounts payable and accounts receivable

Exposure to payroll processes (preferred)

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

A proactive and adaptable approach to daily tasks
