TEKsystems is currently searching for career-driven candidates interested in a Personal Finance Management Specialist opportunity with a Fortune 100 Financial Institution in the Pensacola, FL area!

Description:

To provide productive, preventive, and remedial consumer credit counseling and debt management services for the membership.

Provides consumer credit counseling and administers debt management services for members.

Recovers loan payments that might otherwise have been lost due to members financial difficulties. This includes: interviewing member to accurately assess their financial situation and determining the level of counseling required (educational, preventive, or remedial); analyzing members' debts; assisting members to develop personal budgets; determining members' qualification for entry in the debt management program (DMP).

Intervenes with creditors/collectors in complex or difficult situations such as cases involving foreclosures, bankruptcies, and garnishments.

Resolves critical member problems (e.g., investigates why collector is pursuing member in DMP or mediates with persistent collection agencies and or creditors).

Requirements:

Experience that demonstrates basic knowledge and skill in conducting interviews, collection of debts, and or analyzing financial circumstances which may involve an exposure to granting credit

Interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to convey information effectively

Effective telephone skills

Ability to apply basic mathematical formulae and work accurately with numbers

Tact, diplomacy and persuasiveness to deal with members and creditors on financial matters, often in difficult circumstances

Knowledge of credit and collection practices and procedures

Familiarity with principles of financial budgeting

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10:30AM - 7:00PM CST

Working environment: Hybrid, two days on-site per week

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
