Regional Sales Engineer

Job Description

The Regional Sales Engineer (RSE) will regularly travel into the assigned sales territories, with an average travel requirement of 50-60% of working time. The RSE will work directly with in-territory regional managers to implement sales strategies aligning with group goals and objectives. Familiarity with relevant Safety and Design standards, including API 2000, API 2521, API12 series, NFPA 68, 69, 30 and 497, ISO28300, ISO16852, etc., is essential. The RSE will report plans, territory objectives, and opportunities to the Regional Sales Manager, support regional trade show events, and may need to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

Travel into assigned sales territories (50-70% of working time).

Work directly with regional managers to implement sales strategies.

Become familiar with relevant Safety and Design standards (API 2000, API 2521, API12 series, NFPA 68, 69, 30, 497, ISO28300, ISO16852, etc.).

Regularly report plans, territory objectives, and opportunities to the Regional Sales Manager.

Visit and support regional trade show events in relevant territories.

Support Manufacturer's Representative companies in assigned territories.

Conduct territory market research, analysis, and project tracking.

Determine target accounts and jointly identify new opportunities with the Regional Sales Manager.

Provide technical development to the representative network through technical presentations and consultations on product applications.

Essential Skills

Minimum 3 years of experience as an Outside Sales Engineer.

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.

Ability to travel and meet key accounts to drive business development and sales.

Experience in technical sales, particularly with valves, pumps, and related products.

Strong business development and key account management skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
