The Northrop Grumman Chief Information & Digital Office (CIDO) is seeking a first level (Level 1) Information Technology Manager to lead and supervise a dynamic team of technical professionals. This position is an application management role and it will require split time between technical duties and functional management.
The qualified applicant will support operations at our Northrop Grumman campus, and will be required to work on-site, full-time; please note that this is NOT a remote work opportunity.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Team Liaison to CIDO leadership for local programs, project, and taskings.
Team Lead for local application engineering team (6-10 personnel) for the CIDO organization.
Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.
Use good judgement to pursue courses of action necessary to obtain desired results.
Work closely with program-assigned systems engineering, software development, and management professionals to ensure that the software lifecycle is accomplished with high quality and efficiency.
The selected candidate will be expected to demonstrate a broad set of skills that balance interpersonal, business, and technical capabilities while managing a team of application engineers across a spectrum of programs to accomplish goals. Basic Qualifications :
Master's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with 3 years of relevant technical experience; OR a Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of relevant technical experience is required
Experience in at least one of the following areas: Application Engineering, applications management, systems engineering, or software engineering
Experience leading an engineering team or project
Previous experience working in a SAP/SAR environment required
Candidates must have a current DOD Secret level security clearance to include a recent investigation date closed within the last 6 years OR must be enrolled in the DoD Continuous Evaluation (CE) program, in order to be considered
Must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment
Preferred Qualifications :
The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in a STEM related discipline (Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology) and 4 years of technical experience with 1 year as a team lead, supervisor, or manager in a JSIG classified environment
Proven leadership qualities and strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrate exemplary professionalism and ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
Demonstrate strong team building/collaboration skills
Demonstrated mentoring and coaching skills, and excellent 2-way communication skills (upward and downward)
Demonstrate time management and organizational skills to prioritize across concurrent program and functional responsibilities
Active SAP/SAR access level

Salary Range: $101,900.00 - $152,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
