Description
We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in the Albemarle area, North Carolina. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing various accounting and administrative tasks, with a specific emphasis on payroll, account reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, and customer service.
Responsibilities:
Process customer credit applications accurately and promptly
Oversee and maintain customer credit records, ensuring their accuracy and up-to-dateness
Address customer inquiries about their accounts, providing clear and concise information
Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action when required
Manage payroll processing for a small team, ensuring accuracy in clock in/out times and overall calculations
Participate in month-end accounting tasks, independently managing them once trained, with oversight from management
Respond to queries from board members about financials, providing detailed explanations where necessary
Oversee accounts payable and receivable, even though it's not a high-volume task
Manage weekly and monthly invoicing, ensuring accuracy and prompt dispatch
Assist in handling incoming telephone calls, especially those related to accounting issues
Maintain a customer service mindset, being hands-on with residents in a detail-oriented and understanding manner.
Requirements - Possess strong skills in Account Reconciliation to ensure financial records are accurate and complete.
Proficient in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to manage company's financial transactions effectively.
Have experience in Billing processes to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
Capable of performing accurate Data Entry tasks to maintain and update company's financial information.
Proficient in Invoice Processing to ensure all payments are made in a timely manner.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel for managing, analyzing and presenting data.
Have experience in Payroll processing to ensure all employees are paid accurately and on time.
Familiar with Month End Close processes to ensure financial statements are prepared accurately.
Comfortable handling Inbound Telephone Calls, providing excellent customer service and resolving any finance-related queries.
