Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
As a Warehouse Worker, you will be proficient in various warehouse operations including receiving, sorting, staging, replenishment, putaway, picking, packing, cycle counting, and shipping. You will perform these functions using both SAP and the Warehouse Management System (WMS). Your role will require a high level of productivity and quality, and you will assist other team members with process questions. You must remain flexible and quickly learn new tasks as directed by the supervisor. Additionally, you will be a role model and coach to other distribution center employees.
Responsibilities
Determine daily work schedule via work board instructions and supervisor direction.
Operate equipment after performing and documenting inspections.
Unload shipments, sort, stage, and confirm order quantities with packing lists.
Perform 3-way match to validate product part numbers and quantities.
Input accurate data into SAP and WMS.
Transport pallets to designated storage and staging locations using forklifts.
Identify and resolve discrepancies using paperwork and WMS.
Replenish products by scanning and transporting pallets to storage locations.
Pick inventory using RF gun, pack and prepare for shipping, ensuring accuracy.
Consolidate pallets for multiple orders to optimize shipping costs.
Load pallets onto trucks, ensuring correct carriers are used.
Participate in daily cycle counting with high attention to detail.
Maintain individual process performance and strive to reduce order throughput time.
Ensure facility and equipment care, including cleanliness and 5S functions.
Proactively control damage and maintain communication with supervisors.
Maintain high-quality standards for pallets and inventory levels.
Assist DC Team Member I, II, and III as needed.
Travel up to 10% of the time as required.
Comply with safety rules and guidelines, including slips, trips, and falls prevention, good housekeeping, safe lifting, and equipment usage.
Essential Skills
Accurate counting and math skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, SAP, and warehouse management systems.
Knowledge of proper lifting techniques.
Ability to adhere to quality standards and procedures.
Ability to operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Ability to lift and move items weighing 50 pounds or more.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to detail and quality performance.
Positive attitude and willingness to help others.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of warehouse experience.
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and SAP Receiving.
Cycle counting experience.
Certification in material handling equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
5S experience preferred.
Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Punctuality and reliability.
Manual labor experience, including packaging and order picking.

Work Environment
The Distribution Center is an extension of the plastics production plant and is not climate-controlled. Employees will work in a fast-paced environment that requires manual labor and the ability to interpret directions and follow through efficiently.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mcpherson, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
