Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Dallas, Texas. The role involves several tasks such as managing customer accounts, processing customer applications, and ensuring customer inquiries are resolved. The industry we operate in is accounting, and the workplace is a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Efficiently and accurately process customer credit applications.

Keep customer credit records up-to-date and precise.

Handle accounts payable and oversee payroll processes for multiple clients.

Post and manage journal entries.

Ensure accuracy and compliance in financial statements and reports.

Conduct bank and credit card account reconciliations.

Support financial reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Assist in onboarding clients and cleaning up systems.

Manage sales tax filings and other ad hoc tasks.

Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates, reports, and insights.

Help develop and document scalable accounting workflows and internal controls.

Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Collaborate directly with business owners and senior leadership.

Play a key role in building systems, problem-solving, and improving workflows.

Requirements - Hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role.

Proficiency in using accounting software, particularly QuickBooks.

Strong knowledge and experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

Ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently.

Experience in maintaining and updating the General Ledger.

Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries.

Capability to handle month-end close procedures.

Experience in managing payroll and preparing payroll tax returns.

Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation.

Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.

Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
