Description

We are offering a contract for a permanent employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Forney, Texas, 75126, United States. As a Staff Accountant, you will be a pivotal part of our team, managing A/P and payroll processes, reviewing financial statements for accuracy and compliance, and collaborating with business owners and leaders. CPA Firm Experience is Preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage Accounts Payable (AP) processes and payroll for multiple clients.

Conduct reviews of financial statements and reports to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Post journal entries and assist in monthly book closings.

Handle bank and credit card account reconciliations.

Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis alongside senior leadership.

Assist with the onboarding of clients and system clean-ups.

Upload financial documents, manage sales tax filings, and support other ad hoc tasks.

Communicate regularly with clients to share updates, reports, and insights.

Help in the development and documentation of scalable accounting workflows and internal controls.

Collaborate directly with business owners, CEOs, and CFOs to improve systems, solve problems, and improve workflows.

Requirements - Possess a minimum of 3 years experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar

Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

Skilled in managing General Ledger and Journal Entries

Ability to handle Month End Close procedures accurately

Proficiency in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks

Experience in managing Assigned Balance Sheet

Knowledge of Balance Sheet Account and Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

Capable of performing Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Reviews

Experience in handling Balance Sheets and Income Statements

Ability to Reconcile Balance Sheet Account

Proficiency in preparing Balance Sheets

Experience in approving and coding invoices

Ability to analyze Financial Statements effectively

Experience in Financial Statement Preparation

Proficiency in preparing Monthly and Year-end Financial Statements.
