Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for efficiency? Robert Half is currently partnering with a company in the Modesto market to find an Accounts Payable Clerk who will play a crucial role in maintaining smooth financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Invoice Processing: Accurately review, verify, and process vendor invoices and employee expense reports in compliance with company policies.

Payment Management: Prepare payment runs (checks, wire transfers, ACH) while adhering to established payment schedules.

Vendor Relations: Communicate efficiently with vendors to resolve discrepancies, reconcile accounts, and ensure seamless service.

Recordkeeping: Maintain thorough and organized financial records to support audits and month-end reporting processes.

Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve any invoice disputes, missing documentation, or payment errors.

Compliance: Support company efforts to stay compliant with internal controls, relevant regulations, and tax requirements.

Requirements:

Experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role is preferred.

Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP knowledge is a plus).

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Effective communication and problem-solving abilities to liaise with vendors and internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; Bachelor's degree is a plus.

Experience with ERP systems or automated payment platforms.

Ability to work in fast-paced environments and meet deadlines consistently.

Requirements

At least 2 years of accounts payable experience is preferred
