Summary
Iowa State University has a great opportunity to grow your career in the role of Information Technology Support I or II serving Facilities Planning and Management (FPM) and reporting to Information Technology Services (ITS) where you will deliver a customer success infrastructure that provides successful technical support to FPM and the Iowa State community.?
In this role, you will be working in a technical environment primarily supporting the IT needs of FPM. This will involve answering questions and providing on-site support to promote quick and accurate resolutions, ordering hardware, updating software, managing inventory, planning upgrades, writing technical documentation, and performing special projects when needed. The position will respond to IT-related equipment issues and ensure quality customer interactions with students and staff.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENTS: Information Technology Services provides core computing, network services, enterprise systems, and information security resources to students, faculty, and staff. ?ITS?also collaborates with technology experts campus-wide to provide specialized IT resources to academic and business units. Facilities Planning & Management is an organization that is dedicated to the maintenance and enhancement of Iowa State University. FPM is one of the largest departments on campus and currently employs over 450 full-time employees and students combined.
Information Technology Support I - Provides routine technical support and troubleshooting to users covering a broad variety of hardware and software. Acts as a resource and provides information to users utilizing specialized knowledge. May act as the first tier of support.
Information Technology Support II - Provides technical support and troubleshooting to users covering a broad variety of hardware and software. Acta as a resource and provide information to users utilizing specialized knowledge. May act as the first or second tier support
This position will be hired as a Information Technology Support I or II depending on the candidate's experience.
For the Information Technology Support I, the required minimum qualification is a High School diploma or equivalent . The pay grade is a PS806.
For the Information Technology Support II, the required minimum qualification is a High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related experience . The pay grade is a PS807.
