Position Summary:
Moly Manufacturing is seeking an experienced and motivated Supervisor to
join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
manufacturing, leadership, and problem-solving, as well as a deep
understanding of safety standards and production processes.
This role also involves supervising parts and services, ensuring that
all parts logistics are handled efficiently. The Supervisor will
communicate directly with the team regarding which parts need to be
made, ensuring that parts are tagged for assembly correctly, and
maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
The Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily operations,
ensuring production goals are met, and maintaining high standards of
quality and efficiency within our manufacturing facility. Welding
experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and Supervise Staff: Directly supervise and lead a team of
production workers.
Production Oversight: Monitor and coordinate daily manufacturing
operations to ensure timely and accurate production of hydraulic and
remote-controlled livestock handling equipment.
Parts and Services Supervision: Communicate with the team to ensure
parts are made and available for assembly. Oversee parts logistics and
ensure parts are tagged correctly for assembly.
Attention to Detail: Maintain high attention to detail to ensure
parts are fabricated and tagged correctly, meeting all specifications
before they move into the assembly process.
Quality Control: Maintain high-quality standards by ensuring
products meet specifications and safety regulations. Conduct
inspections, troubleshoot quality issues, and recommend corrective
actions when necessary.
Safety Management: Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing
safety protocols and addressing any workplace hazards immediately.
Inventory Management: Oversee the tracking and management of
materials, parts, and finished products to ensure inventory levels align
with production demands.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (engineering,
quality control, etc.) to resolve issues, improve processes, and ensure
smooth operations.
Performance Reporting: Track key performance metrics and provide
regular reports on production output, quality, and staff performance to
senior management.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in
manufacturing, industrial engineering, or related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing
environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
Knowledge of hydraulic and remote-controlled systems or similar
equipment (preferred)
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment
Strong attention to detail, particularly in parts logistics and assembly
tagging
Welding experience preferred (e.g., MIG, TIG, or stick welding)
Ability to analyze and resolve production issues efficiently
Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods, lift more than 50 pounds, and work in
a manufacturing environment with exposure to various conditions (heat,
noise, etc.).
