Description

We are offering a temporary employment opportunity for a Project Accountant in WOBURN, Massachusetts, 01801, United States. As a Project Accountant, you will have a primary focus on accounts receivable and billing, with less emphasis on collections. You will be handling a variety of accounting functions, including bank and credit card reconciliations, and providing support for month-end closing.

Responsibilities:

Handle the daily generation and dispatch of invoices to customers

Conduct bank reconciliations as part of the accounting tasks

Assist in closing the month's accounts and provide financial analysis and forecasting support

Address customer inquiries concerning invoices and payments in a timely manner

Implement account receivable coding, verification, allocation, posting, and reconciliation

Oversee credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy

Assist with special projects under the direction of the Controller

Monitor and follow-up on outstanding payments with customers and project managers

Manage processes from initial bidding, contracts, purchase orders, packing slips, invoicing, receiving payments, and maintaining related bid and purchase order trackers for accuracy

Provide backup support to administrative assistance, including answering the door and processing mail and received packages.

Requirements - Position: Project Accountant

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting

Proficient in Accounting Functions

Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

Skilled in Billing procedures

Familiarity with Credit Card Reconciliation

Knowledge of Month End Close activities

Ability to conduct Bank Reconciliations

Experience in Project Accounting is mandatory
