Description

We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Waltham, Massachusetts. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to financial operations and ensure accuracy in accounting processes. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

Responsibilities:

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.

Perform monthly bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.

Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.

Assist with month-end close activities, including reviewing accounts and resolving discrepancies.

Handle prepaid expenses and accrual entries as part of routine accounting procedures.

Ensure compliance with clinical accounting standards and practices.

Utilize ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP for financial reporting and analysis.

Maintain accurate account reconciliations to support financial integrity.

Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Proficiency in general ledger management and journal entry preparation.

Familiarity with month-end close procedures and financial reporting.

Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.

Strong understanding of prepaid expenses and accrual accounting.

Background in clinical accounting is highly desirable.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
