Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Design electrical systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements. Conduct electrical studies, including load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, and coordination studies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into overall building designs. Perform medium voltage work, including distribution system design and equipment selection. Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for electrical systems. Provide technical support during construction, addressing any electrical-related issues that may arise. Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations to ensure designs meet the latest standards.

Responsibilities

Design electrical systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements.

Conduct electrical studies, including load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, and coordination studies.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into overall building designs.

Perform medium voltage work, including distribution system design and equipment selection.

Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for electrical systems.

Provide technical support during construction, addressing any electrical-related issues that may arise.

Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations to ensure designs meet the latest standards.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in Revit with 8+ years of experience

Experience in conducting electrical studies using SKM, ETAP, or similar software

Experience in low and medium voltage systems

Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations

6-10+ years of experience in electrical system design and medium voltage work

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) license preferred

Proficiency in AutoCAD

Experience in healthcare, pharma, life sciences, and data centers

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Work Environment

Open floor plan, very collaborative. Newer office. Hybrid work schedule: 3 days in office (Tuesday to Thursday), 2 days work from home (Monday and Friday). Position based in NJ location.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $72.12/hr.
