Position Overview

The Account Manager at WCCG 104.5 FM plays a vital role in connecting local businesses, listeners, and creative teams through effective advertising, promotions, and digital campaigns. This position combines relationship-building, marketing strategy, and project coordination to help clients reach their audiences across radio, social media, and streaming platforms.

As an Account Manager, youll work directly with advertisers and community partners to design impactful campaigns that include on-air spots, sponsored segments, and digital promotions. Youll collaborate closely with the Sales, Promotions, and Production teams to ensure each clients message is delivered clearly, creatively, and on schedule.

The ideal candidate is motivated, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that values creativity and community connection. No prior radio experience is required, but at least two years of experience in sales, marketing, or media is suggested for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Client Relations

Build and maintain relationships with local advertisers, sponsors, and community partners.

Identify client goals and present creative advertising and promotional solutions.

Develop and deliver customized proposals that include radio, digital, and social elements.

Manage advertising contracts, renewals, and billing coordination.

Maintain internal CRM records and provide weekly updates on account performance.

Achieve individual and team sales goals set by station management.

Promotions and Community Engagement

Partner with the Promotions Department to plan and execute community events, station remotes, and live broadcasts.

Secure sponsorships and cross-promotional opportunities that align with station goals.

Serve as an on-site representative at community events, business expos, and public appearances.

Help design promotional campaigns that increase listener engagement and brand awareness.

Digital and Content Coordination

Collaborate with the Production Team to coordinate commercial production, podcast sponsorship placements, and digital ad assets.

Ensure that client-approved copy, graphics, and creative materials are delivered to the appropriate teams on time.

Work with digital and social media staff to align online promotions with on-air campaigns.

Review analytics and performance reports to help evaluate campaign success.

Suggest new advertising strategies and opportunities based on client objectives and audience insights.

Qualifications

Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.

Strong customer service mindset with attention to detail.

Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and CRM systems (Airtable, HubSpot, or similar).

Knowledge of advertising, marketing, and social media best practices.

Team-oriented with the ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Promotions, and Production.

No prior experience required, but at least two (2) years of experience in sales, marketing, or media is suggested.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Must possess a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
