DUTIES:

Responsible for process engineering functions, including leading

manufacturing process and improvement project aimed at enhancing efficiency and quality standards. Project engineering responsibilities include participating in the management and execution of a strategic capital project, contributing to its successful implementation and operational integration. Responsible for maintenance and reliability functions including taking charge of project initiatives focused on improving maintenance processes and enhancing equipment reliability to optimize operational uptime and reduce downtime costs. Lead a Six Sigma supply chain/operations project to streamline processes, increase productivity, and drive operational excellence. Responsible for sales and operations planning (SandOP), including collaborating closely with sales, manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure alignment in production planning and delivery, guaranteeing timely and accurate fulfillment of customer demands. Supervise production activities and lead/manage a manufacturing team of hourly employees, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and operational efficiency on the production floor. Responsible for implementing environment, health and safety (EHS) methods, including leading strategic projects associated with corporate and plant EHS initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting a culture of environmental stewardship and workplace safety. Lead and participate in strategic sourcing activities and project deliverables aimed at optimizing supplier relationships, driving cost efficiencies, and ensuring quality standards in materials procurement. Responsible for program structure working on rotational assignments across different functional areas to broaden understanding of our business operations and develop a comprehensive perspective on manufacturing leadership. Provide development and support by participating in mentorship from seasoned industry professionals, personalized development plans and continuous learning opportunities to equip staff with the skills and knowledge needed for long-term success in manufacturing leadership.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field (or U.S. equivalent) and six (6) months of experience in the job or as a Production Engineer or closely related occupation within the specialty chemical/advanced material (gas/oil) manufacturing industry. Experience must include ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety requirements while implementing EHS methods and procedures. Must have experience monitoring and optimizing the performance of the fluid catalytic cracking unit. Must have experience applying engineering principles, working on process control, root cause analysis, quantitative analysis, production optimization/scheduling, utilizing data visualization tools, OSHA 400-hr software, Google Earth Engine, SAP and MRP.
