Van-Am Tool and Engineering, a precision manufacturer serving the aerospace, defense, and commercial industries, is hiring a

CDL Driver / Material Handlerfor our St. Joseph, Missouri facility. This is a stable, full-time position with a four-day workweek and local routes only. You will be home every night.

Schedule:Monday-Thursday, 5:00 AM-3:30 PM

Pay:$25.00+ per hour, based on experience

Position Summary

The CDL Driver / Material Handler supports both transportation and in-house material handling within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is critical to maintaining on-time delivery, accurate inventory control, and safe material flow across departments.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer for local deliveries and transfers between facilities

Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation

Secure loads properly and maintain a clean, professional vehicle

Load and unload raw materials, equipment, and finished goods

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment

Label, stage, and organize inventory to support production

Coordinate with Production, Shipping and Receiving, and Purchasing to ensure material accuracy and flow

Qualifications

Valid

Class A CDLwith clean driving record

Experience operating a full-size tractor-trailer semi

High school diploma or equivalent

Previous material handling or warehouse experience preferred

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
