What Youll Do as a Medication Coordinator

Support and oversee residents self-administration of medications in

accordance with training, policies, and regulations.

Manage medication systems, including receiving, organizing, packing,

and monitoring medications, refills, and PRNs.

Maintain accurate medication records (MARs) and documentation within

the electronic health record to ensure regulatory compliance.

Coordinate with clients, treatment team members, prescribers, and

pharmacies regarding medication needs, changes, and renewals.

Assist with scheduling medical appointments and communicating

relevant updates to the care team.

Monitor for medication errors or discrepancies, ensure timely

reporting, and support corrective actions as needed.

Assist with staff training, competency support, and

medication-related education in collaboration with nursing and leadership.

Schedule Details

Full-time position

Primarily weekday schedule with occasional evenings and/or weekends

as needed.

Flexibility required to support program and emergency staffing

needs.

Travel between locations and occasional overnight training may be

required.

What You Need to Join Our Team

Required Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record

Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficient computer skills and ability to learn new systems.

Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of experience in direct care or supporting adults with

mental health needs.

Education in a human servicerelated field

Working knowledge of mental health diagnoses and person-centered

care

Certification as a Clinical Medical Assistant or comparable

experience

CPR/First Aid certification
