TITLE: Software Engineer I

DUTIES: Work across projects such as SaaS, Elera Produce Recognition, Elera Cloud Operations, and Elera Data Solutions. Handle data pipelines on a cloud and reporting level. Generate index models for our produce recognition service. Stand up, tear down, decommission, provision, and upgrade cloud resources whilst supporting users and writing code. Perform bug fixes and test control plane solution in the SaaS team. Play a part in the evolution of the retailer shopping experiences and help shape the future of retail. Provide services to retail clients worldwide. Develop and deliver an array of custom software solutions such as POS, self-checkout, and mobility solutions. Work with a cross-functional team while developing application software in an agile framework and support software test efforts. Hybrid role with 2 days telework permitted within a reasonable commuting distance of the Frisco, TX office location.

SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a closely related field of study and no experience (0 years).

Special Skills:Also requires experience, internship, or university level coursework in the following:

Experience with full software development life-cycle.

Knowledge of software engineering best practices such as coding standards, code reviews, source control and testing.

Experience in analyzing, designing, implementing and troubleshooting software solutions for highly transactional systems.

Experience with Agile development methodology.

Experience with adhering to programming standards and practices through SDLC.

Knowledge of DevOps CI/CD pipelines for build and release.

Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure using Terraform.

Experience with a script language, Azure Cloud and reporting tool including Sisense/PowerBI.

Cloud Platforms: Experience with any one Cloud Platform (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)), and hybrid cloud environments.

Version Control Systems: GitLab and GitHub.
