Marketing & Communications Summer Intern (Seasonal)

Upper Merion Township, located in King of Prussia, PA is looking for creative, reliable, and organized Marketing & Communications Summer Intern who will report directly to Marketing & Communications Manager and assist them with tasks as needed. In addition, they will assist us in continuing to improve the efficacy and scope of our communications and marketing campaigns.

The duties of the Marketing & Communications Summer Intern include (but not limited to):

Assist with transferring images and content from the previous website to the recently updated one, making sure that everything is accessible and formatted correctly.

Oversee the digital archives for the agenda and minutes, making sure that everything is arranged neatly and readily available for team usage.

Support the development of the new website chatbot prompts in order to improve the user experience and engagement on the Township's digital platform.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Characteristics:

Possesses good visual acuity (near and mid-vision continuously and field of vision occasionally).

Sits for extended periods while working on a computer or at a desk.

Operates computer equipment, involving repetitive hand, wrist, or finger movements.

Stands and walks occasionally for tasks like attending meetings or events.

Minimally lifts materials like marketing packages or meeting material.

Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Basic knowledge of digital marketing, social media, and web analytics.

Capable of working independently and with a team.

Great interest in marketing, communications, or a related field.

Prior experience with content management systems is ideal.

Additional Requirements:

Must be at least 16 years old.

Depending on availability this role requires 15-20 hours per week
