Position Duties: Perform tasks within the scope of software projects (troubleshooting of measurements, customer presentations, development trips, software calibration, etc.) and also in the areas of function development (define software requirements according to customer needs and requirements) and implement software in proto@type or mass production project environment. Provide customer support for software-related topics. Support project management in software-related topics. Identify derivation of software-project requirements from customer requirements including requirements-tracing. Plan and coordinate software-features with core teams and external providers (responsible for Function Implementation Plan creation and maintenance). Coordinate project software architecture design together with software architects and write software project technical documentation. Analyze customer change requests. Perform software requirements engineering and function development. Coordinate project software diagnostics (On- and Offboard) in agreement with the customer. Conduct software Integration of Basic Software and additional software provisions. Prepare software deliveries: Maintenance and execution of release tests, provision of release software with agreed functionality (as library, hexadecimal file or etc.), preparation of release documents and further customer related documentation. Prepare/adapt the integration environment in consultation with customer. Develop project specific software modules (Interfacing, adaptation of the core software, etc.). Perform software calibration of system parameters in vehicle and/or test bench. Manage software releases and their according calibrations, coordinate different calibrations with regards to their target systems and variant handling. Maintain project specific development tools. Develop accompanying testing. Validate and verify software. Implement and evaluate measurements in vehicle and/or test bench. Support measurement and calibration tools (Integrated Calibration and Application Tool, CANape, Scan-Tool). Support vehicle testing (measurement equipment) and test rigs. Support end-of-life activities. Provide customer support for test drives and vehicle calibration. Train new team members for software development work on product and process knowledge.

Minimum Requirements: *Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the position offered, as an Embedded Software Controls Engineer or a related position. Must have five (5) years of progressively responsible experience with: C language for controllers; Matlab/Simulink autocoding (Simulink Coder or Embedded Coder); Software Optimization for Mass Production in Vehicles; Software Validation (Software-in-the-Loop, Processor-in-the-Loop and Hardware-in-the-Loop); Hands-on experience with integration and validation testing for embedded software; Writing and reviewing test cases for software; Vector products for calibration and measurement; Software Development and Task Management using Windchill RV&S or Agile Methodology; Controller Area Network; Data acquisition software including CANoe, CANalyzer, PCAN explorer; Recording test procedures, analyzing/presenting test data and creating flowcharts using MS office tools (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint); GitHub for software version control; and Classical control theory knowledge and implementation (PID Controllers).
