Position Title: Part-Time Meat / Deli / Market Sales Associate

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Meat/Deli Market Sales Associate to join our team. This role supports daily store operations by preparing deli items, assisting customers, maintaining product displays, and ensuring safe food-handling practices. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide friendly, helpful customer service at the meat and deli counter

Prepare, slice, weigh, wrap, and label meat and deli products

Maintain cleanliness and organization of service counters, prep areas, and equipment

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures

Restock coolers, rotate inventory, and monitor product freshness

Assist with merchandising, product displays, and store presentation

Operate slicers, scales, and other food-prep equipment safely

Support team members and store operations as needed

Qualifications

Previous experience in deli, grocery, or food-service preferred but not required

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods

Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety

Reliable transportation and consistent attendance

Positive attitude and strong customer-service skills
