The Ceramics Manufacturing Technician will work closely with other technicians, engineers, project managers, and program managers to accomplish daily electronic manufacturing tasks. Highly skilled and detail-oriented, this role is critical in ensuring consistent quality, safety, and efficiency of ceramic materials preparation and processing used in high-performance applications.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate, monitor, and maintain equipment for ceramic materials processing including mills, screeners, kilns & ovens, grinders/lappers, screen printers and other specialized equipment.

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, repeatability, and quality of processed powders.

Accurately weigh, measure, and record raw materials and processed batches with zero tolerance for error.

Perform in-process and final inspections to verify particle size distribution, density, dimensions, electrical and material properties.

Maintain precise batch records, equipment logs, and quality documentation in compliance with ISO/AS standards.

Identify and report process deviations, equipment malfunctions, or material inconsistencies with immediate corrective action.

Uphold strict cleanliness, contamination control, and safety standards throughout all processing operations.

Collaborate with engineers and quality assurance to implement continuous improvements in powder handling and processing.

Support R&D and production teams with proto@type and scale-up powder processing trials as needed.

Work with other technicians, engineers, project managers, and program managers to complete required tasking

Reporting on task completion or risks to others in the organization

Reporting/Communicating progress/setbacks to Program and Project Managers

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Ability to take lead on aspects of manufacturing projects

Required to follow all safety rules and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as instructed.

Ability to work effectively under a microscope

Read a schematic

Basic machining skills

Maintain an organized workspace

Fluency in Microsoft Office Software Suite

Other tasks as required to support the business objectives
