Job Title: Warehouse Clerk

Reporting to: Branch Manager

Classification: Full Time, Part Time / Admin

Status: Non-Exempt

Purpose

The warehouse clerk's role is to handle Pine's incoming and outgoing rental equipment and to manage the company's stock, via allocations and system updates. Other warehouse clerk duties and responsibilities includes keeping reports about shipments and inventory levels; putting labels on goods; maintaining the warehouse area.

Primary Responsibilities

Proactively communicate order status, delays and equipment substitutions to customers

Lead the investigation and resolution process for damaged returned equipment

Point of contact for Drivers returning with equipment

Support Operations team to check and confirm equipment orders are complete and ready for delivery or shipment

Assist in locating equipment and shipping logistics

Support shipping/receiving when needed

Resolves internal and external customer problems

Other duties, as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Ability to think analytically with a focus on problem troubleshooting

Excellent communication skills- written, verbal, interpersonal & phone.

Monitor inventory.

Organize and clean shipping & receiving area and warehouse.

Maintain accurate labeling of equipment.

Fills orders or issues supplies from stock

Checks physical condition of supplies/inventory

Counts materials, documents and other items

Records numbers, codes or other information

May use technology (PCs, scanners, etc.) to complete job tasks

Education/Experienc e

High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience preferred

Work is performed in an office setting and in a variety of client settings that will include exposure to seasonal weather, damp and/or dusty locations. There are frequent employee and client contacts and interruptions in person and via the telephone during the day. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

This position is 10% sedentary and 90% active and may include activities such as sitting, walking, standing, bending, stretching, climbing (ladder) for long periods throughout the course of the workday. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted and may require the ability to drive a Pine vehicle. Maybe required to work outside normal business hours including mornings and evenings.
