Ozer Engineering is looking for a motivated Site Assessment Technician to support our residential and small commercial field assessments. You'll work closely with a licensed Structural Engineer, gaining hands-on experience in real-world conditions and building a strong technical foundation with room to grow into more advanced assessment and reporting work as you gain experience.

Responsibilities

Perform site visits, including crawlspaces and attics, in dirty or confined environments (PPE required)

Work outdoors in extreme temperatures when necessary

Drive your own reliable vehicle to and between job sites (mileage reimbursed)

Read and interpret 2D drawings on-site to understand how they relate to the physical structure

Collect accurate field notes, measurements, and photos using a phone, drone and/or robot. (Training provided)

Document findings in CompanyCam tagging photos and adding notes on-site

Track and organize project data in Airtable

Assist with technical reports and documentation

Communicate findings clearly with team members and clients

Essential Skills

Reading technical/construction drawings

AutoCAD or CAD software

Field data collection and documentation

Site inspection / assessment

Concrete and steel construction methods

Attention to detail

Written and verbal communication

Microsoft Office / Excel/ CAD /

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's in Construction Technology, Drafting, CAD, or related field, or equivalent experience

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Familiarity with concrete and steel construction methods preferred

Comfortable using field apps and software for documentation (or willing to learn)

Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license required

Customer-focused with strong communication skills

Willingness to follow safety protocols and use protective equipment
