Job Overview:

NYRA is seeking an experienced Project Manager, Information Technology (P3), reporting to the Senior Director, EPMO, responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering medium to large scale technology initiatives supporting NYRA Bets digital platforms and enterprise technology objectives. This role is responsible for driving projects from initiation through implementation by applying structured project management practices while partnering closely with Agile engineering and product teams.

The Project Manager operates as an experienced individual contributor, independently managing delivery activities across multiple teams and stakeholders. The role requires strong execution discipline, effective cross functional coordination, and the ability to manage risk, dependencies, and delivery commitments in a regulated environment.

Essential Functions:

Plan and manage the end to end delivery of information technology and digital product initiatives, from concept through launch.

Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and dependency tracking to ensure successful execution.

Coordinate work across IT, engineering, product, design, business teams, and external vendors to ensure alignment and accountability.

Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and cross team dependencies, escalating as appropriate.

Partner with Agile and Scrum teams to ensure project plans align with sprint execution, release schedules, and delivery commitments.

Track project progress and performance against approved plans; adjust timelines and sequencing as needed to meet objectives.

Provide clear, concise project status reporting, delivery metrics, and escalation summaries to management and leadership.

Ensure initiatives comply with NYRA technology standards, security policies, regulatory requirements, and operational readiness expectations.

Contribute to continuous improvement of project management tools, templates, and delivery practices within the IT organization.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field is preferred; PMP certification and career experiences may be considered in lieu of degree.

Minimum of 5 years of professional project management experience, preferably supporting IT or digital product initiatives.

Demonstrated experience delivering web platforms, mobile applications, or customer facing digital solutions.

Experience working with Agile/Scrum engineering teams required.

Familiarity working within the PMBOK principles and formal project management practices; PMP or similar certification preferred.

Experience working in regulated industries such as gaming, financial services, or payments.

Ability to be licensed within the state of New York and other jurisdictions.

Summary of Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

This role is primarily sedentary and performed in an office or office-like environment with no special physical demands required. The position involves extended periods of sitting with intermittent standing and walking, as well as occasional bending, reaching, and other routine movements typical of a professional workplace.

The role requires regular hand manipulation, including daily typing and repetitive hand movements while working on a computer. Occasional light lifting (generally up to 10 lbs., and infrequently up to 30 lbs.) may be required.

The work environment does not typically expose the employee to hazardous conditions. There is minimal exposure to environmental hazards such as moving mechanical parts, fumes, extreme weather, or high-risk work areas. Pay Range / Salary: $90,000 - $130,000
