Position: Team Lead, Thermal Engineer

Salary: \$129,998.00 - \$139,998.00 per year.

Job Description:

Build and develop a high-performing team of thermal engineers by recruiting top talent, providing hands-on training in advanced thermal simulation and testing methodologies, and guiding their professional growth. Conduct regular technical and project reviews to ensure timely completion of deliverables. Provide direction on simulation strategies, test planning, and correlation of thermal results. Lead engineering teams in a lab environment to validate thermal designs, oversee setup and measurement processes, and ensure accurate correlation of physical results with simulated data. Supervise support staff responsible for compiling, analyzing, and publishing documentation for SI engineers, ensuring high-quality outputs that meet customer- facing standards. Partner with SI, hardware, and mechanical engineering teams to embed thermal considerations early in the design cycle. Act as the subject matter expert (SME) to raise awareness of thermal design challenges and drive optimal product solutions. Provide forward-looking ideas for efficient thermal management of next-generation I/O and datacom products. Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate novel thermal design approaches for future product lines. Invent and refine new techniques in thermal simulations, testing, and design methods specifically tailored for high-speed interconnects. Drive innovation through concept-to-validation workflows. Publish technical papers, contribute to industry forums, and generate intellectual property through patents that advance Molexs leadership in thermal management of high-speed interconnect technologies.

Minimun Requirements:

Must have a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 2 years of related work experience.

Must have 2 years of experience in all the following:

ANSYS Icepak;

ANSYS Fluent;

ANSYS Space Claim;

NX;

Thermal Testing;

High-Speed Interconnect; and

Thermal Simulation v.s. test correlation.

Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.

Domestic travel required up to 10%.
