MSD is looking for an Electrical Estimator to join our team!

The Electrical Estimator works under the close supervision of the Director of Pre-Construction to gather, calculate, and compile data for use in all phases of the estimating process. The Electrical Estimator maintains current information pertaining to suppliers and contractors for estimating/bidding activities. The Electrical Estimator supports the total quality effort by identifying and responding to the needs of internal and external customers 100% of the time.

Key Job Duties:

Gather data, enabling informed, accurate estimating on multiple projects

Generate appropriate estimates of various projects

Maintain current, accurate records pertaining to current and future opportunities, suppliers/contractors

Coordinate with Sales staff and key client personnel to provide estimates in a timely manner

Establish and maintain relationships with clients to sustain organizational growth

Communicate with Safety Director any existing or potential hazards on job sites

Deliver completed estimating projects efficiently and accurately

Assist Estimation and Project Team to develop appropriate bidding strategies

Incorporate appropriate safety practices while developing client estimates

Candidate Requirements:

Associate degree (or higher) in Engineering discipline (preferred)

High School diploma or GED or 15 semester (22 quarter) hours of college level education

4+ yrs.' experience in electrical desired

Previous estimating experience (any discipline) desired

Basic understanding of HVAC, Electrical, and fire and security systems

Ability to clearly communicate in both written and verbal English

Unencumbered US Driver's License

US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required
